Test Pilots Graduated From Air Force Test Pilots School

11 Test Pilots & 2 Flight Test Engineers of 42nd Flight Test Course graduated from Air Force Test Pilots School (AFTPS) in Bangalore. 48 weeks rigorous & multi-disciplinary training curriculum concluded on friday.

AFTPS is part of Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE) one of d premier units of the Indian Air Force.

 Air Marshal AS Butola,  Air Officer Commanding in Chief, Trng Cmnd, was Chief Guest. “Suranjan Das Trophy” for best allround student test pilot was given to Sqn Ldr Dipankar Das.

While “COAS award” for best student test pilot in Flight Evaluation was awarded to Sqn Ldr V Logesh. “Kapil Bhargava Trophy” for best student in ground subjects was awarded to Sqn Ldr Sumit Kumar.

Alumni of AFTPS include the 4 test pilots chosen for the Gaganyaan mission.
